Although lemon balm is traditionally used for digestive comfort, it has many other benefits.

It is recommended of course in case of bloating and liver pains because it calms our liver. It helps to calm our stress, our insomnia, mild migraines and even in case of light palpitations

Lemon balm essential oil has antibacterial and antifungal properties as well. A lotion of lemon balm can relieve certain skin inflammations, mycoses and it even takes part in a wound healing. Its aqueous extract has antiviral properties and can even treat herpes labialis.

These practises are approved by the World Health Organization and the European Scientific Cooperative on Phytotherapy. And not to spoil anything, to this day no toxicity is recognized this wonderful plant

How to use lemon balm ?

Infusion, decoction, capsules and ESP

In infusion for example with 5 g of fresh or dried leaves for 1L of boiling water to drink midday and evening after the meal for a better digestion

In decoction, one tablespoon of leaves for 20 cl of cold water brought to the boil for three minutes, then cover and let infuse for 10 minutes then filter. You will be able to drink your decoction between the meals until three cups per day.

In capsules dosed at 250 mg are also at your disposal in certain brands. The dosage? Take two at noon and two in the evening during a meal. As an indication.

Lemon balm essential oil will calm you in case of stress or strong emotions with only one drop in a handkerchief to breathe.

As with all good things, avoid prolonged use and talk to your doctor. Pregnant women should refrain from using it because to date there is not enough data on its safety.
