From size to filling, weight to warmth, Bergamott Cottage lifts the veil to guide you to more restful nights.<\/p>\nIt's time to ask ourselves some real questions, what do we need to sleep well, what type of cquilt should we choose and why is it so important for our sleep?<\/cite><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Let's start with its heat level<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Light, temperate, warm or 4 seasons.
\nThe level of heat is generally indicated by the manufacturer from 1 to 4 most commonly but it can reach 5 and 6. Therefore, the choice will be made according to your own sensitivity to cold and the temperature of the room.
\nFor a room heated to more than 22\u00b0C a light duvet is more frequently recommended, while a room between 18 and 22\u00b0C the temperate quilt will be recommended, and below 18\u00b0C we turn to the warm version.
\nThat said, as mentioned above, it is your feeling that will guide you more than these simple recommendations.
\nAnd the 4 seasons in all this?
\nThis last one will avoid the purchase of several quilts, it is composed of a light duvet and a thicker one gathered by pressures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The filling: natural or synthetic?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

It goes without saying that at Bergamott Cottage we turn to natural materials: whether they are made of feathers, natural silk or wool<\/strong>, they are known to be warmer and have a thermoregulatory power.
\nFor the last two, they are moreover hydro-regulating and wool is anti-allergic, goodbye dust mites. They are also more durable and, let's not lie, a little more expensive.
\nVegetable fibers are also interesting from a thermal point of view and they are made from natural and sustainable materials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Synthetic fibers<\/strong> have a cost advantage and yes, are more affordable, but that's not their only advantage. They are anti-dust mite, they regulate humidity and are light.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

What about maintenance?\u00a0Simply machine wash<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Weight<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Ranging from 180g\/m2 for light down quilts to 500g\/m2 for the heaviest synthetic duvets, the weight of the duvet defines its weight. Some people will prefer to sleep with a light quilt while others will appreciate being wrapped up under a much heavier duvet.
\nIt's up to you...<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Are we talking size?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The size of the comforter is defined by several criteria: mattress size, number and build of sleepers, restless sleep or comforter kleptomaniac all have to be taken into account.
\nAlthough it is generally recommended to have a 40 cm overhang on each side for a smooth night's sleep, the height of the bed is to be taken into account because you can use the length of the comforter to cover the entire bed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Short guide<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

For a 37.5x74.5 in bed<\/strong>, it is recommended to choose a 68x90 quilt.<\/strong>
\nFor a 54x75 in bed<\/strong>, choose a 76x90 quilt.<\/strong>
\nFor a 60x80 in bed, a 91x102 duvet will fit.<\/strong>
\nFor a 76x80 in bed, a 102x108 duvet<\/strong> is recommended.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
